Look at the Christian Church as a house. The house needs a firm foundation. That foundation is Jesus. It also needs people living and abiding in it. It needs power too. The power being God’s Word fulfilled by the Holy Spirit. In John 17:20-23, Jesus was praying to the Father:
It is painful to see so many divisions in the Church. The main causes of such division are caused by human error, which includes: stubbornness, prejudices, and sinfulness. Jesus wants his followers united as one Church. It is the call and duty of every Christian to pray for unity in the Church and in the world, which only God can give.
Every baptized person belong to Jesus and therefore fulfill the body of Christ. There can only be one Christ. There can only be one body. There should be one universal united Church in Christ.
There are many divisions in the world as well. There was a time when republicans and democrats could sit and eat together and agree to disagree. Now there is so much hatred coming from both sides. This is not what God wanted.
The answer is not in politics. The answer is not religion. The answer is Jesus. When we are united with Jesus, we become united with God. When we become united in Christ, we all become united together. Then and only then will we be able to truly function as The Body Of Christ.
We thank you for giving us salvation and forgiveness through your son, Jesus Christ. We pray that you send the Holy Spirit to unite all Christians in your name….Amen
