When I was growing up, I was made to feel like everything that I did was a sin. The way they made it sound was you had to be perfect to get into Heaven. If that was the case then no one would be there.
God’s Word reveals a list of morals. It guides us in our walk with him. Will it answer every question we have? No. It will however act as a moral compass to guide us.
John 3:16 promises salvation to anyone who simply believes. Does it stop there? No. We are saved, but what good does it do if we don’t apply God’s Word to our everyday life?
My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart,for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity. Proverbs 3:1-2 NIV
We will never be perfect and God doesn’t want that. God wants us to follow him and learn from our mistakes. He wants us to love others. He not only wants us to believe, he wants us to LIVE IT.
