Anxiety plays a role in everyone’s lives. Some people are affected more than others. In life, we deal with hurt and stress on a daily basis. Nobody ever said that life was fair, but sometimes it can come across as unbearable.

Life is made up moments. Some are good. Some are bad. Sometimes the bad can outweigh the good. Sometimes we dwell on the bad and forget all the good in our lives.

I had a buddy some years back who decided to take his own life. He had alot going for him, but he dwelled on the bad and gave up. Sadly, the devil uses our anxieties to try and break us.

I work at a Warehouse and we have production goals to meet. With these goals come stress and pressure which leads to anxiety. I remember to tell myself that I am not doing it for me, I am doing it for God. It really helps me to get through the day.

Is there a cure for anxiety? Does it go away? No! If we give it to God and ask Jesus for comfort, we will get it. Is being a Christian going to solve your anxiety? No! God uses things to our benefit. Maybe it is to teach us patience or compassion.

Do not be anxious about anything, but I’m every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ. Phillipians 4:6-7 NIV

  1. I needed this. The last part really spoke to me. I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks at times and it makes me feel like a failed believer because I’ve always thought that Christians shouldn’t have anxiety. Thank you. This will stick with me.
