Our Faithful Purpose

We all want to live a meaningful life. We all want a purpose in life. Some people think that the cure is more money. Some people realize that it is not just about money. It is about having faith that we will find that pot of Gold at the end of the rainbow.

The Apostle Paul was facing death in a Roman prison and knew that he was in the last days of his life. He came along way from when he was Saul and he was persecuting Christians. Despite all he had been through, he was content with his life and his faith never wavered. He accomplished everything God had planned. He spread the Gospel up to his persecution. He lets Timothy know:

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid upon me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all of them that love his appearance. 2Timothy 4:7-8 NIV

Paul did not want earthly riches, he was ever the heavenly riches. When life threw him blows, he took it to God and his faith never ended. God wants that kind of faith out of us.

God expects us to have faith and seek him, especially at times when our faith is small. He has rewards and a crown set aside for all those who put their faith in him and Christ Jesus. Then and only then will we find our true purpose.
