Righteousness

There was a time when I cursed all the time. I fell away from God for awhile during my druggie years. I ended up having a very colorful vocabulary. It is easy to fall into that trap. It seems as if cursing has become normal into today’s society.

My grandpa used to tell me that people who curse all the time have a lack of a sense of vocabulary. My eyes were opened up when a friend told me, “Dude, do you know you used the eff word like 5 times in one sentence. ” It had me thinking, am I acting the way God wants me to? Am I acting like a follower in Christ?

Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor. Proverbs 21:21 NIV

Solomon was wise beyond his years. As Christians, we are called to pursue a life of righteousness so we can one day live as one with our Heavenly Father. When we pursue righteousness, we find love. Will we slip up sometimes? Yes! We are only human. That is why we are to pursue righteousness, seek Christ and live by faith. In this, we find life.
