Ask And You Shall Recieve

Prayer should be a part of everyone’s life. It is your direct line to God that you can call anytime. Sometimes, like a wayward child, we forget to call. Some goes as far as to forget the number.

When I was younger, I would wonder why I had times that I felt he wasn’t answering when in actuality, I quit calling. Like the wayward child, I would only go to him when I needed something or wanted something. Then I would get upset when I didn’t get what I wanted.

As human beings, we take lack of action as that God is not listening. Maybe God has something else planned that is even better. Maybe we won’t get that 20 dollar raise we have been dreaming of. We will get fulfillment in our life.

God may have better plans. God does not always give us what we want, but he always promises that he will give us what we need. Maybe we were asking for the wrong things.

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:24 NIV

I had a talk with someone that said, “God never answers my prayers. When is my blessing coming?” I asked them, “Have you even asked?” Turns out that he had quit praying, simply because he did not get what he wanted. I explained to him that he already had his blessing and didn’t know it. We all have that blessing. The greatest blessing of all……Jesus Christ.

  1. God always answers. Sometimes we don;t recognize the answer because it is not what we expected. One of the things I love about God s that He is full of surprises. Thanks for the reminder of this truth!
