Doing What’s Right

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things. Phillipians 4:8 NIV

As Christians, we are called to righteousness. Righteousness is being morally right so that your actions will always be justified. When you become a Christian, people will judge you for your actions.

So many times in life, I have seen so many people that proclaim the name of God, but not honor the name of God in their actions. I am guilty of that at times. When I would claim to be Christian, but was snorting a line of coke right after. I was not being a representative of Jesus.

We are going to make mistakes. We are going to fall, but the only thing that really matters is that God picks us back up everytime. When we follow him, he opens a door to a new life. His Word opens us up to knowledge. That knowledge will light a fire in our hearts that will cause a longing to do what’s right.

Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor. Proverbs 21:21 NIV
