Being In The Word

When I was growing up, I was taught to read as much of the Bible as you could. Years later, I changed the way that I read it. You can read too much and not get enough.

I like to find a couple scriptures and meditate on them. I would the ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what I don’t know about the said scriptures. Personally, I get more out of it.

Being in the word is important, even if you just take one scripture and ponder on it. This gives us guidance and help with getting through the day. It is a big part of growing our faith. It is our key to knowledge.

You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me. John 5:39 NIV

  1. Great way to study the word. The nice thing about reading the bible through is that it puts the whole body of scripture in your mind. Then when you mature and start to ponder it more deeply, these words come back into your memory thanks to the Holy Spirit. Meditating upon a few scriptures can become a Bible study all by itself! Great post!
