Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Ephesians 6:13-15
First we have the belt of truth. The devil is a pathological liar and our God is a God of truth. God’s truth will defeat the devil’s lies every time. We need to stand upon the foundation of God’s truth.
Next we have the breastplate of righteousness. Satan will attack us in any form that he can: our emotions, our self esteem and even our faith. The breastplate of righteousness protects our hearts and assures his love for us and our safety in battle.
Next are the feet being fit with a readiness to spread the gospel of Christ. Satan doesn’t want anyone knowing the good news. He despises all good. We as Christians are too proclaim the peace and love of Jesus. This gives other people armor for next time they are in the same battle…(to be continued)
