Boastful Pride

When we achieve a goal or accomplishment, we are suppose to be proud. What we aren’t supposed to do is be boastful. Boasting turns into conceit. We all need to find the common divider so that being proudful does not turn into boasting.

Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of the law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith. For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from works of the law. Romans 3:28-29 NIV

It does not matter how many good works that we do. We are justified by faith, not works. We can feel accomplished but never put yourself on a pedestal thinking that you are better than everyone else. God will knock you down everytime.

I know. He has knocked me down a couple notches before. I was 25 and given a position as a store manager. My pride turned to boasting. God dealt with me.

Things to be proud about: our faith, our salvation, God’s grace. God Bless and have a wonderful Monday.
