Kingdom Of God

As Christians-we are saved. When we are born again in Christ, we leave our old self behind. When we walk in faith, we become transformed by the light of Christ. It doesn’t matter what you have done. Now, the only thing that matter is what you do.

At 12 years old, I knew that I wanted to be a preacher. After years of abuse and trying to cope, I got heavy into drugs. Most people do not understand what it feels like to be an addict unless you have been through it. God took a back seat and for many years, this continued. When I devoted my life back to Jesus, I quit. No rehab. I had faith the size of a mustard seed and Jesus moved that mountain.

The devil likes to use our past against us. It is the past. You repented and were saved. The devil has no authority over us. Let It Go! It does not matter what you have done. It only matters what you do now. So live in righteousness for ours is the Kingdom of God.

22You were taught to put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23to be renewed in the spirit of your minds; 24and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:22-23 NIV

  1. Learning to live in this present moment is one of the hardest things we have to learn. Not yesterday, not tomorrow, but right now is what matters. God only gives us the grace we need for today. Tomorrow, He will give us grace for tomorrow. Thanks for this post – it’s a great reminder to us.
