Happy Easter

Easter is upon us. It is a time to reflect on the beautiful gift of salvation that was made available to us through God’s Grace and through the death of Jesus. He had risen!

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. John 3:16-18 NIV
I love this set of scriptures. It specifically states: whoever Believes in Him. It does not say: whoever is perfect. God knows that we are not perfect. We will make mistakes and God knows that. The question is : do we learn from our mistakes?

If sin kept us out of Heaven, there would be nobody in Heaven, but God and Jesus and the angels. What keeps us out of Heaven? The rejection of God’s Salvation through Jesus Christ. God’s greatest gift to mankind.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:9-13 NIV

Have a great day and remember: Jesus is Alive and He Lives in Us. Live for Jesus and He will Live for You. Let us celebrate in his name. Amen.
