When The Enemy Attacks

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7

In life, it may seem that we are dealt blow after blow. The enemy likes to mess with us. He uses fear and anxiety because that is all he has against us. Why does God let these things happen? To humble us and for us to rely on Jesus. Our faith will lead us through temptation. Our faith will lead us through the darkness and into the light.

When the enemy attacks, he wants to break us. He doesn’t go after who he has. He already has them. He goes after us. That is why the Word of God tells us to be alert and be of a sober mind.

All you have to do is resist him in the name of Jesus and he has no choice to move on. Every believer has had to deal with that. We need to stand on our Faith and make Jesus the foundation that we stand on and that makes the enemy powerless. Amen!

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 1 Peter 5:8-9 NIV

Thank God for Jesus. We are all bound by God’s Grace. We are called into the eternal Glory that God has established for us through his Son, Jesus Christ.

This life is full of suffering. We all will feel it. However, we can take comfort int the fact that Jesus has restored us. One day we will suffer no more. Seek the Kingdom of God and everything else will come.

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:10-11 NIV
