Justification Series: Part 1

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 NIV

God is great. Sometimes I am in awe of his mercy and Glory for us. We love him and he does good for us. He brings us a purpose that we would otherwise not have.

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. Romans 8:29-30 NIV

We have been justified and glorified: two very strong words. Justification is one of the most important doctrines of our faith. Justification in theological terms means: to be made righteous before God.

It is the same righteousness that Jesus earned by living a perfect life. By grace through Faith, that same righteousness is imputed (given) to us. We have a clean slate. When we go before God, we will have that record.

This justification we get does not come from the law. It comes from God. If it came from the law, we would have to need for Jesus and he would have in vain.

In Genesis 15:6, it tells is that Abraham believed God it it was imputed. Even in the beginning, that justification was predestined for all who believe and follow. Amen!
