Treat Everyone Equal

Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Romans 12:15-16 NIV

When I was younger, I thought that all homeless people were drug addicts and a lower life. I am ashamed, but it took me being homeless for a short amount of time to realize that we are all two paychecks away from being homeless.

As Christians, we are suppose to show others the compassion that Jesus showed us. We are to rejoice with those that rejoice and cry with those that are in tears. We need to feel others joy and pain and be sympathetic.

Don’t be too proud to accept someone because they are different. When we put people in a group, we divide that group. When we are divided, it is hard to reunite. Do not let your pride to get in the way of showing the Love of Christ to someone you feel is below us. We are to treat each other equally. For that is what God does for us.
