Humble Servant

For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. 1 Colossians 1:19-20 NIV

We can’t even begin to comprehend the reality of Jesus. Because of what He did, we can fully experience the fullness of God the Father. The fullness that is brought on by the Holy Spirit. With all three working as one. A Triune God. The Holy Trinity.

Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation— 1 Colossians 1:21-22 NIV

Evil behavior will control your mind. God Hates Evil and those two words hardly go together anywhere else in the Bible. We were all alienated from God.

Then along came Jesus. We were reconciled through the death on the Cross to become Holy in the sight of God and blemish free. This is our Justification. This is Propitiation. God’s judgment and wrath has been diverted. Because of the Cross. Because of Jesus.

So we are saved. Woohoo! Does it stop there? Nope! We need to continue to have Faith and stand firm on our foundation which is Jesus Christ. Amen!!!! Hold on to the hope we get from the gospel. Like Paul, we need to become humble servant.

if you continue in  your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant. 1 Colossians 1:23 NIV
