But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices Colossians 3:8-9 NIV
When we become dead to sin, we become alive in Christ. We are supposed to project ourselves as being that. If we claim Jesus, yet do not follow God’s Commandments, we are hypocrites and fools.
That is why so many people put up walls between God. We need to be examples of God, Jesus and our Faith so that people will see our joy. They can’t see our Faith when we use filthy language and we slander and gossip and lie about one another.
As Christians, we are transformed. Live the transformation. Live in the Spirit. We are new creatures.
and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. Colossians 3:10-11 NIV
Paul spoke to the Church of Colossians with tact. He noticed the divisions in the Churches at the time. He illustrated the Body of Christ to a tee.
Here in God’s family, it is not about what gender or race or background we come from. It is about being united together by God’s Love and Grace. It is about standing strong in our Faith. Rejoice for we are alive in Christ.
