Alive In Christ: Part 4

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Colossians 3:12 NIV

We are God’s chosen people. We were called out of His compassionate Love for us. We are called to be Holy. He taught about compassion by showing us compassion.

Be kind to others. Be gentle. Be humble. Be kind. These are all things that Jesus preached and practiced. God and Jesus set examples for us to live by. Live it so others will see your joy and wonder

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:13 NIV

Forgiving others can be hard. Forgetting is even harder. When we hurt, it can also teach us patience. No one had more pain than Jesus.

No one had more patience than Jesus. He knew that he would be betrayed and killed. He had to wait on God’s timing. Part of living the faith is forgiving others as God forgave us.

And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3:14 NIV

With all these virtues, love is the glue that keeps them together in perfect unity. When kept in perfect unity, it shows in our Faith. It shows other people where we get our joy. It shows others what it feels like to be Alive in Christ.
