Watch Your Words

When I was younger, I had a fondness for swear words. One day, a friend pointed out that I used the f-word 4 times in one sentence. It had become such a habit that I did not even realize that I was doing it.

We are human and we will slip up. God is forgiving. As Christians, we are held to a higher moral altitude. When our words are unclean, it does not benefit us when we  share the gospel with that same mouth. Then we are just hypocrites.

We need to watch our words and keep close watch on what comes out of our mouths. Speak words of love, not hate. When we follow God, we want to make Him happy.

Set a guard over my mouth, Lordkeep watch over the door of my lips. Psalms 141:3 NIV
