Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. 1 Peter 3:8 NIV
I remember when I was younger. I was working at the Carlson Center setting up concerts. I was always happy and smiling. One person actually told me that I smiled too much. In actuality, I smiled because I was happy and I loved everybody.
I have spoke on the topic of love and God’s Love numerous times. As Christians, we need to be like-minded. We need to not only love one another, but everyone. We are to be humble and compassionate. We need to be sympathetic to others needs.
Here is the big question. Do we love people that insult us or are just plain bad people? Yes, God commanded us too. We do not need to stoop to their level.
When we repay evil with evil, it turns into more evil. Insults multiply into more insults. We will not inherit God’s blessing if we do so. As hard as it is, sometimes you have to repay evil with kindness so that they may know that Christ lives in us. Amen.
Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. 1 Peter 3:9 NIV
