Faith is not believing that God can do it. Faith is believing that God will do it. When we pray in faith, we ask God and then we thank God, knowing that He will do it. This is a huge concept when we talk about faith. Faith is believing in the unseen.
Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:27-29 NIV
Doubting Thomas. Jesus showed Him: Look! You Have Seen Me. You are blessed because you have seen me. What it would have been like to hear Him preach back then!
Then Jesus went on to say that blessed are those who have not seen, but still believe. Our salvation is the first part of this transformation. By faith we are justified (declared righteous) through Jesus. This is part of our Salvation. The second part is Propitiation. This is when God’s wrath and judgement is turned away from us.
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; Romans 3:24-25 KJV
We are declared righteous by faith, which is our justification through Christ Jesus. Our sins are atoned for and God’s wrath and judgement. He said though faith in His blood. It is our atonement and our key to eternal life.
To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Romans 3:26 KJV
