Faith 101 Series: Part 5

Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, Hebrews 10:19-21 NIV

Through the blood of Jesus, a door is opened up to us. A door of love. A door a hope. A door of God’s intentions for us. Our Faith is the pathway to the door. Jesus is our keycode. Have faith and be confident in what God is doing in your life.

let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Hebrews 10:22 NIV

Faith is drawing ourselves closer to God. Not only in times of trouble, but times that we are thankful for what He has blessed us with. Our faith ensure us a clean heart.

Our faith is assurance of things that are happening and things that are yet to come. We are cleansed by the blood of Christ and the Holy Spirit is now running through us. We are cleansed of our guilty conscience.

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, Hebrews 10:23-24 NIV

God gave us Hope. That hope is in Christ Jesus. That hope cannot be given without faith in Jesus. No one come to the Father, bit by Him.

Look at the wording of the scripture: hold on unswervingly to the hope that we profess. Without faith, there is no profession. It says that: He has promised. Faith is believing in that promise and thanking Him that the promise will never be broken.

This world is hard. We are going to sin. We are going to struggle. We will go through temptation. That is why we need to meet together in Church and outside of Church. It may seem like we are alone, but we are not.

We have God. We have Jesus. We have the Holy Spirit. We have each other. We need to meet with one another. We need to encourage one another. Correct one another. These are the precepts of our faith in Jesus.

not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25 NIV
