Faith 101 Series: Part 4

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2 NIV

Another way of looking at faith in action goes with trusting God. In our faith, we give ourselves up to God as a living sacrifice that is Holy and pleasing to God. The same sacrifice that Jesus gave. We too have to pick up our own cross.

In Jesus, our mind is transformed in the Spirit. We have a new being and a new mind. This causes us to want to please God. We do not want to conform to the world. We want to conform to Jesus! Thank you Jesus!

For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. Romans 12:3 NIV

Here is an important part of faith. There should be no pride in our faith. Just because we have experienced the Love of Christ does not mean we should assume others haven’t. Some people have experienced it, but just do not know because it has never been pointed out.

We are not to judge others, but love others as Christ loved us so people will know the love of Christ. Humble yourselves and think of others. This is the key to the Christian Faith. When we believe, God grants that faith to all of us. Hallelujah!
