Faith In Action

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. Hebrews 11:1-2 NIV

The Greek term for faith is πίστις. The transliteration is pistis meaning coming to trust, to be persuaded or simply faith. Faith has always been a gift from God and cannot be produced or made by people. Furthermore, Faith is God’s divine persuasion working in our life.

In our faith, we have confidence that we will weather the storm called life. It is hope and assurance of what we do not see with our eyes, but is revealed thanks to God’s Holy Spirit. Faith is accepting that.

By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. Hebrews 11:3 NIV
