Apolegetics

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. 1 Peter 3:15 NIV

This scripture explains apologetics to a tee. Apologetics is a big part of the Christian Faith. Apologetics is being able to not only explain, but defend your faith. As Christians, we are called to defend our faith on a daily basis.

The word “apologetics” comes from the Greek word “apologia” which is translated to a “verbal defense”. There are many scriptures that define apologetics and the need for defending our Faith. If we do not share our Faith, no one will hear of the great blessings that God has available for everyone.

Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you extorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. Jude 3 NKJV

Just as the apostle Paul wrote to share the faith, we are also called to share our faith. We live in a small, yet big world. More people need to hear the truth. We do not get it from the world, we only get it from Jesus. Praise be to God.
