Be angry and do not sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your anger, and don’t give the devil an opportunity. Ephesians 4:26
It is a known fact that what kind of mood that you wake up in can affect the rest of your day. It is a good thing to pray as soon as we wake up and put the day in God’s hands. This sets up a good day.
My wife and I used to work warehouse jobs and found ourselves driving 4 hours round trip to work. We had to get on the 35. We had to deal with rush hour. Everyone was in a hurry to get home.
No one uses their blinkers. You get cut off and flipped off for going the speed limit. So many drivers are crazy and inconsiderate. Not to mention the jacked up trucks here in Texas.
Driving the 35, my anger would get to me which gave the enemy an opportunity to get me in the flesh. By the time I blurted out angry words, I had already sinned. The devil had won. I would go to bed angry which would affect my drive to work the next day.
We need to wake up in prayer and being in unity with God. When we get ready for bed. Pray and fall into deep meditation and sleep. When we seek Him daily, He will take care of the rest.
